At EverWonder Candles, every candle is designed to bring a story to life through scent.
To make sure your experience remains magical from the first flame to the final glow, it’s important to burn your candle safely and correctly.
Candles are beautiful and comforting, but they are still an open flame. Please follow the guidance below to enjoy your EverWonder candle safely and get the best possible performance from it.
Before You Light the Flame
Before lighting your candle, always trim the wick to approximately 5 mm (¼ inch).
Keeping the wick trimmed helps the candle burn evenly and prevents excessive flickering, smoking, or dripping. It also allows the fragrance to disperse properly throughout the room.
For best results, we recommend using a wick trimmer to keep the wick neat and clean.
Place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface and ensure it is positioned away from anything that could catch fire, such as furniture, paper, books, or curtains.
Always keep candles out of reach of children and pets, and in areas where they cannot be accidentally knocked over.
EverWonder Candles are created to fill your space with beautiful fragrance. They are not food products and should never be consumed.
While Your Candle Burns
For both safety and performance, we recommend burning your candle for no more than four hours at a time.
Never leave a candle burning unattended, and never go to sleep while a candle is lit.
To protect the jar and ensure safe burning, stop using the candle when approximately 10 mm of wax remains at the bottom.
For the best scent experience, allow the candle to burn long enough for the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the jar, especially during the first burn. This helps prevent tunnelling and ensures an even burn throughout the life of the candle.
If the flame begins to flicker excessively or appears unstable, extinguish the candle and trim the wick before lighting it again.
After the Flame
When extinguishing your candle, avoid pouring water onto the wax. Instead, use a candle snuffer or gently blow out the flame.
Before leaving the room, make sure the flame is completely extinguished and the wick is no longer glowing.
Allow the candle to cool fully before moving or touching it, as the glass container may remain hot.
To keep your candle in the best condition, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Before relighting, check that the surface of the wax is clean and free from dust or debris.
